Everything you need to know before your tour

Where to Meet

The tour meets outside the main entrance of the Palace Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue — currently showing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, so it’s easy to spot.

Susan will be waiting outside, holding a London Cocktail Tours tote bag.

Nearest tube stations:

• Leicester Square — 5 minutes’ walk
• Tottenham Court Road — 8 minutes’ walk

Time: Meet at 5:15pm sharp. The tour runs until around 8:00pm, finishing on Gerrard Street.

Getting There Late?

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be given a contact number for Susan — so if you’re running late on the day, you’ll be able to reach her directly and she can let you know where to find the group.

What to Bring

• ID — always useful to have on you, just in case
• Comfortable shoes — you’ll be walking between bars, with the longest walk being around 8 minutes
• An umbrella or raincoat — the tour goes ahead rain or shine; the bars themselves are indoors, but the short walks between them are outside

We’d suggest travelling light, too; most of the bars are quite small, and while there’s some space to leave a coat, it’s best to avoid bringing large bags or luggage.

What to Wear

Nothing formal. None of the venues is fancy, so trousers and a top work perfectly well — though you’re welcome to dress up if you’d like.

At Each Bar

• All four bars have toilets
• All four bars offer non-alcoholic options, so anyone not drinking is well looked after
• Tables are pre-booked, so you won’t be waiting around once you arrive

Accessibility

The tour visits some of Soho’s oldest buildings, and not all venues are accessible to guests who can’t manage stairs. Email us in advance for the exact route, so you can decide whether the tour is right for you.
