Everything you need to know about London Cocktail Tours

Where do we meet?

The tour meets outside the Palace Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. The nearest tube stations are Leicester Square (5 minutes’ walk) and Tottenham Court Road (8 minutes’ walk).

What time will it start?

We meet at 5:15pm and aim to finish by 8:00pm.

How many people will be on our London Cocktail Tour?

Standard tours run with up to 6 people, including the guide. Private tours are also available – see our Private & Group Bookings page.

How do we get around Soho?

On foot. The bars are close together, and you’re never walking more than 8 minutes between stops.

How many cocktails will I be having?

You’ll enjoy more than 4 cocktails per person, made just for you at each bar.

Will there be something to eat?

Yes – snacks are available along the way, chosen to go well with what you’re drinking.

What if I have a food intolerance?

Just let us know your dietary requirements when you book.

Can I bring my children?

This is an adults-only tour. You must be of legal drinking age to join, and ID may be checked.

Can I join solo?

Yes — solo travellers are welcome. We just need a minimum of 2 people booked for a tour to go ahead, so you may be joining others.

What should I wear?

Nothing formal — none of the venues is fancy, so trousers and a top are fine, though you’re welcome to dress up if you’d like. There’s a fair bit of walking between bars, so comfortable shoes are a good idea.

What happens if it rains?

The tour goes ahead in all weather — this is London, after all. We’d suggest bringing an umbrella or a raincoat, just in case. All the bars themselves are indoors; it’s only the short walks between them that are outside.

How far in advance should I book?

We’d recommend at least a week’s notice, and two weeks if you’re booking for a weekend.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Private tours are available for hen parties, stag parties, birthdays, or any group celebration, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 48 hours before your tour; after that, the booking is charged in full.

Are your tours accessible?

We visit bars in some of Soho’s oldest buildings, and unfortunately not all venues are accessible to guests who can’t manage stairs. Email us for the exact route so you can decide if the tour is right for you — we want to be upfront that London Cocktail Tours isn’t currently suitable for guests who aren’t fully mobile.

Where does the tour end?

The tour finishes on Gerrard Street, approximately 3 hours after we begin.
